Connections Over Decades

Vietnam ribbon

Although this project grew out of statements and writings from troops involved in our most recent engagements, I must give special acknowledgement the veterans of the war in Vietnam.  Knowing they were treated with disregard, even contempt when they returned to American soil makes me want to push this project forward even more.  Participants in the Words For Warriors Project can help see that the veterans of the most current wars never feel marginalized or unappreciated.  Indeed, this project is for ALL our troops and veterans.  Remember, it’s never too late to say thank you, welcome home or to offer a kind word.

May you have warm words on a cold evening, a full moon on a dark night and a smooth road all the way to your door. (Irish Blessing)
